The place, the history, the experience
Rustici Maggia is an ancient cluster of rustic Ticino farmhouses dating back to 1611, located in Ronchini di Aurigeno, in the Maggia Valley. Once a rural village, it has now been carefully transformed into a peaceful and authentic retreat, preserving the original character of the stone houses with slate roofs.
Between 2017 and 2019, the complex was renovated with respect for its traditional architecture, incorporating natural materials and essential comforts. Here, you can experience the mountains in a simple and authentic way: silence, nature, slow pace, and sweeping views of the valley.

🚗 PUBLIC PARKING
Paid public parking is available in the immediate vicinity of the farmhouses.
⚠️ The last stretch of the road is private and particularly steep. For this reason, we recommend leaving your car in one of the parking lots listed below and continuing on foot.

All are located a short distance from the farmhouses and can be easily reached on foot.
🔑 SELF CHECK-IN
The property uses automatic self check-in.

✅ You can arrive anytime after 3:00 PM.
Access details (key box number + code) are automatically sent on the day of arrival around 1:00 PM.
For last-minute bookings, codes are sent automatically immediately after the booking is confirmed.

1. Reach the key box indicated in the instructions received
2. Enter the code received
3. Open the key box and remove the key
4. Always close the key box
5. Reset the code to 0000

We recommend making a reservation during busy periods.

Some rustici are equipped with:

• Fireplace
• Barbecue
⚠️ We do not provide firewood or charcoal.
These can be purchased in local shops and supermarkets.
Please always ensure the fire is completely extinguished before leaving the accommodation.
🐶 DOGS
Dogs are welcome.
Supplement:
CHF 10.– per dog / night
(if not already included in the reservation)
We kindly ask you to:
• Keep dogs on a leash in common areas
• Not leave them unattended for long periods
• Inform us of their presence before arrival
🚲 BICYCLES
We do not have a locked bicycle storage area.
Bicycles may be left on the property at the guest’s own responsibility.

In some rustici, children aged 0 to 5 can be accommodated as additional guests.
